What if I don't want to assign benefits to an employee?

There are three benefits that require general assignment: health insurance, Coverflex Childcare, and Public Transportation.

For Health Insurance, there is no objective reason to exclude any of the employees, and it should be made available to everyone across the team, in our opinion.

In the case of Coverflex Childcare and Public Transportation, they probably won't be enjoyed by everyone, either because not everyone might have children under 7 years old or because not everyone might commute to work using public transportation.

Making all benefits available to all employees, followed by each individual's personalised choice, is our understanding of fulfilling this general assignment criterion.

The "equal values" topic is addressed in the benefits mentioned in the Article 43.º, number 2, of the Corporate Income Tax Code (CIRC). These include health, life, accident, and pension plans insurance, where it is stated that these benefits should be assigned beyond the general scope with a similar and objective criterion. Discrimination based on job category is not permitted, unless defined by a Collective Labor Agreement.
