How does the Optimize Active PPR work, and what are the product conditions?
You can subscribe to and top up the Optimize Ativo PPR using your Coverflex benefits balance and manage it through the platform https://clientes.optimize.pt/user/login.
- To subscribe to this product, the minimum amount is €25, and the subscription fee is 2%. This fee is refunded (added to the invested amount) if you maintain your contribution for at least 12 months.
- There is also a management fee of 1.8%, which is already reflected in the Unit Participation (UP) performance.
- If you wish to make a withdrawal, there is no withdrawal fee.
The product conditions can be found in the document “general conditions” via the “view conditions” button in your Coverflex app.
I made my first contribution. How can I access my investment?
Once you subscribe to the Optimize Active PPR, you’ll receive an automatic email with a link to complete the account opening process. If you don’t do this within 24 hours, you’ll be contacted by phone within 3 business days.
You can open your account entirely online using one of the following methods:
Using the Digital Mobile Key (CMD): Simply follow the account opening process at www.optimize.pt and digitally sign the account opening form.
Without CMD: Provide a certified copy of your ID and proof of address, then send the account opening form to Optimize. You can certify document copies for free at any CTT post office.
After completing this process, you’ll receive your access credentials to the platform within 3 business days, enabling you to manage your Optimize Active PPR.
I am already an Optimize client. Can I top up my account via Coverflex?
If you already have an Optimize account, you’ll receive a confirmation email for the top-up within 3 business days.
All investments made through Coverflex will automatically add to your existing Optimize account under the Optimize Active PPR product.
Can I transfer my Optimize Active PPR balance to another product managed by the same company?
If you wish to transfer the invested amount to another product offered by this entity, you should contact your consultant (their contact is visible in your client portal). Indicate the type of transfer (total or partial), the amount, and the desired product (from the other four available PPRs). This transfer is free of charge.
Since this is a strategic change through a PPR transfer, it will not be subject to capital gains taxation, nor will you lose the record of past contributions.
Can I use my PPR to pay off my mortgage installment?
Yes, you can use favorable tax treatment (8% capital gains tax) if your contributions are older than five years, regardless of whether you have received tax benefits (such as IRS deductions).
To use your PPR to reduce your mortgage, you can complete the operation via the Client Area by navigating to “Operations” -> “Withdrawal.”

What steps should I follow to transfer money from my PPR to another management company?
First, contact the new entity and confirm all the necessary steps to request a transfer to one of their products. Follow these steps diligently.
The usual process involves the new entity contacting Optimize Investment Partners to request the fund transfer on your behalf. This process typically takes 2-4 weeks for the funds to be transferred (minus any applicable transfer fee).
The new entity should confirm the acceptance of the transfer and provide the new terms and conditions.
Since this is a strategic change through a PPR transfer, it will not be subject to capital gains taxation, nor will you lose the record of past contributions.
How can I transfer my PPR from another entity to Optimize?
If you are already a client, you can complete the operation via the Client Area by navigating to “Operations” -> “Subscription” and selecting the option “PPR Transfer.” A transfer letter will be automatically generated, which you must sign and upload on the website.
If you are a new client, you can go through the standard account opening process, select the “PPR Transfer” option, and complete the process by signing the account opening form and the transfer letter.
What happens to my PPR if Optimize goes bankrupt?
Nothing! In case of Optimize’s insolvency, the funds' assets are separate from the management company’s assets, so clients' assets remain unaffected. The CMVM (the entity overseeing Optimize) would appoint another management company to continue managing the funds.
It is worth mentioning that Optimize is a solid and profitable company with very high capital ratios.
